After leaving university, Alistair qualified as a Chartered Accountant and started a career in finance. At the age of 28 he was the youngest person ever to be appointed to the board of a major subsidiary within a quoted PLC. He went on to jointly lead a management buyout of a group company and ran this business for six years. Alistair then joined the board of one of world's largest office supplies business.  In the mid 90s he was head hunted to carry out a management buy in of a £20m international furniture group. By the turn of the decade he was ready for a fresh challenge and looked for a business to purchase in the West Country.

Disappointed by the poor service he received from local and national business brokers, Alistair felt he could do better. Alistair and his team have been part of the Business Partnership since 2000. His Taunton and Bristol offices have been responsible for the sale of several hundreds of businesses in the West Country, ranging in price from £25k to £2m. Alistair's strong negotiating skills and extensive experience of managing people and processes have helped to create a highly successful brokerage.
