Ian Craig, Regional Partner

 

After leaving Aberdeen University in the late 60s, Ian started his career as an O&M/Work Study Officer for the Western Regional Hospital Board in Glasgow. He then moved to Tennent Caledonian Breweries, the Scottish arm of Bass PLC, as a District Manager with responsibility for around 20 managed public houses. Over the years Ian progressed through a range of senior management roles, finally becoming a Retail Director responsible for all the managed public houses in East and North Scotland.

 

In 1990 when Bass set up its Taverns division, Ian was invited to work at its corporate headquarters as the Director of Leisure Machine Management. Through the years the income generated by this department grew to around £50m per annum. Ian was then headhunted by a fruit machine manufacturer and joined them in 1997 as their Sales & Marketing Director, responsible for achieving UK and International annual sales of around £35m.

 

In 2001, whilst seeking a new venture, Ian and his business partner, Peter Salmon, came across an opportunity to join The Business Partnership. Since then they have helped hundreds of local business owners to market their businesses for sale. As a result, the Business Partnership in the East Midlands has a strong reputation for success and professionalism.
