A Long established and profitable Distribution and E-Commerce Company based in the central Midlands.
The company has 2 divisions, one supplying the B2B side of the customer base and the other an on-line retailer to the public.
B2B – As a global distributor of niche LED lighting products, the Company has a wide product range that includes its own branded lighting merchandise and a leading third-party brand.
The majority turnover derives from the UK with export sales contributing around 5% of turnover.
B2C –Â the e-commerce side is an online retailer of lighting products, electronics, stationery and an increasing selection of popular trendy products. Whilst the majority of sales are within the UK there is a growing export market.
Turn-over is down on the B2C side in the last two Financial Years due to changes one major supplier has made to their own on-line distribution routes. The vendors are working hard to increase their range of ‘own-branded’ and alternate products to replace the lost revenue stream.
With a highly skilled team, established product ranges, multiple distribution channels and effective online sales platform the Group is well positioned for future growth. Identified growth areas include increased range of products offered, increased volume of sales and expansion in key geographical markets.
The Company has invested heavily over the years in developing a loyal, recurring base of customers (circa 12-15) that includes high street retailers, wholesalers, distributors and end consumers.
The owners only work a handful of hours per month in the business now. They are supported by a loyal and experienced team with an established second tier management structure.
The business operates from modern premises offering easy access to the extensive Midlands motorway network. The premises are owned privately by the client and the preferred option would be to include the freehold in a sale.
