HE&TL is a highly regarded, precision engineering business providing presswork, machining, fabrication and tool making services to a high profile and diverse client base in manufacturing, construction, automotive, power and other sectors. The vendors have developed a niche market for lower volume, complex component manufacture.

We had been running our engineering business since 2008 and at my age of 71 felt it was time to move on. Over the years we had numerous approaches from agents who promised the earth to chancers who didn’t have the money. Just before Christmas 2023 another approach failed to get to completion. In January 2024 my wife and I decided to seriously pursue a sale. We spent a couple of months talking to potential agents who all wanted big deposits and promised amazing returns, none of which felt credible.
