Paul has over 20 years’ experience in sales and acquisitions and will guide you through the processes of selling your business or acquiring your next one.

The starting point for any business sale or acquisition should be to meet the clients’ goals and Paul’s focus is to help SME business owners to achieve those ambitions.

In 2014 Paul became the first person to qualify as a Certified Value Builder™ in Europe. In introducing this global benchmark to the UK, Paul has helped many entrepreneurs understand the true value of their business and also provided strategies to improve that value before sale. This way Paul’s clients achieve better sales – whether that be a higher value, better payment terms or a quicker exit from their business. This approach also helps him understand businesses that a client is looking to acquire.

Paul’s background includes roles as a Finance Director of a high growth PLC and various positions within the commercial and retail banking sectors. This experience brings an understanding of business, including strategy, accounting, sales, marketing and people.

Since joining The Business Partnership in 2005, Paul, based near Northwich, Cheshire, has had the chance to apply these skills to a wide range of business sectors, rather than one organisation.

Paul states, “My experience, combined with close involvement at every stage of the preparation, sales and acquisition process, allows me to achieve the exit that best matches my clients goals.”

When he leaves the desk Paul can usually be found on a golf course as an active part of the Four Business network, or perhaps on a racquetball or padel court. He is also a regular face at both South Cheshire and North Cheshire Chambers of Commerce.
